The incidence rate is declining, sanguinity is rising!
We are cautiously optimistic that, due to visibly decreasing Corona infections and a continuously growing vaccination rate (in Germany 🇩🇪), a Generali Cologne Marathon in “real and in Cologne“ can take place this autumn.
The new Corona provision includes numerous loosenings also for sport events and let us see light at the end of the tunnel.
If the population’s vaccination willingness retains and we should approach herd immunity the Generali Cologne Marathon will take place in October. And even if another virus mutation should pop up we will then offer a virtual variant again like last year.
You can contribute and make events like the Generali Cologne Marathon possible again by getting vaccinated. As this will be certain: Only vaccinated, convalesced or negatively tested runners can participate. Or the pandemic will be over. And then without any restrictions.
So there is no reason to neglect your running shoes. Somehow or other our race will take place!
