When and where do I get my bib number, where is the expo located, what are its opening times, what is the QR code for, is there any public transportation ticket for Sunday.
Running.EXPO
You may pick up your race packet – bib number, anniversary backpack and rental chip (if needed) – on Friday and Saturday prior to the race, September 30 (10 a. m. to 8 p. m.) and October 1 (9 a. m. to 6 p. m.) at the Running.EXPO.
The trade fair will take place in Wassermannhalle next to the former Energy Dome in Cologne-Vogelsang!

QR code for bib number printing
Please bring your confirmation of participation including the QR code (printed or as Apple Wallet or mobile version for smartphones) with you. This code will be scanned and the bib number will be printed live at the expo.
Please also have a look onto the recommended green times and days for the pick-up (may vary for each competition!).
Public transportation ticket for race day
For the first time your bib number may also be used as a ticket for the public transportation network within the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) area on race day.
Additional ticket for companions
Further you may equip another accompanying aduld and 2 children with a day ticket for the VRS so that your relatives may cheer for you at different locations along the course.

Be part of the party with the live stream
From 8:25 a. m. to 3:45 p. m. we will send live pictures from our event. Just click in to our landing page of our web site and watch what happens at the marathon and half marathon.
The broadcast will cover all facets of the race. From the finish area Tobias Ufer will commentate the top athletes’ race which will be accompanied by motorbike cameras. You will not of course miss out pictures of the city of Cologne, recreational runners, carnival, spectators and sponsor hot spots.
Ufer will be supported by the co-commentators Thomas Eickmann, Sabrina Mockenhaupt and Henrik Pfeiffer. And further celebrities will talk about their personal experiences with the Cologne Marathon in the show.
You may also track your runner/s via the Facebook Timing Ticker (see below) as long as he/she will have subscribed to this service free of charge. We will post the split and finish times as status updated onto the Facebook walls of the runner/s.
Please make sure that your runner/s will register for the ticker prior to 8:00 a. m. on race day.

Live tracking app
Will you have your smartphone with you during the race? Have you already heard about the GPS live tracking feature?
With the Mika tracking app you may track yourself on the course, the GPS data will be combined with your split times and allow a detailled look onto your position, time and pace.

Donation mat at Aachener Weiher – donate for children in need
We will collect money for children in need via the donation mat together with the RTL foundation “We care for kids” (Stiftung RTL “Wir helfen Kindern”) and the pastoral centre in Tel Aviv in Israel.
Come on, cross the separately marked timing mat at Aachener Weiher. Running over this mat indicates that you are willing to donate € 3.00.
Please note: Donating is voluntary. You may of course pass the donation mat to the left without crossing it.

Souvenirs from the race
It does not matter whether it is this year’s anniversary participant shirt for the half marathon or marathon, the stylish Saucony anniversary shoes, engraved and limited TomTom watches for the anniversary or other accessories – at our merchandise boothes you will find interesting products. Just come along, fossick and search for cool souvenirs!
Please find our boothes on Friday and Saturday at the Running.EXPO in Wassermannhalle as well at Gereonstraße next to the kit bag tents in the post-finish area and in the “Reissdorf” area of the after run party on Neumarkt on Sunday.
You may pay cash or with EC card.

The unique diversity of refreshments particularly in the finish area is legendary!
In the REWE Group refreshment area fruity, sweet, savoury, warm and cold goodies and beverages offered by REWE, Reissdorf and Dextro will await you!
And in case you prefer solid nutrition try bread with Laru lard.

After run party on Neumarkt
You may also get Reissdorf beer and Reissdorf Alkoholfrei non-alcoholic beer as well as soft drinks at the after run party in the “ReissDorf” on Neumarkt.
We expanded this location by a street food area: Look for burgers, quesadillas, filirolls, smoothies, coffee, pasta, crêpes, tartes flambees and much more!
There will be a Reissdorf voucher at your bib number – you only have to convert it!
Neumarkt will also serve as a meeting point for runners and their relatives after the race. We will also care for a video wall, moderation, music etc.

Motives and travel manners of the participants
Our master student Carolin Schmidt from the German Sports University Cologne will set up a survey on the motives for running (a marathon) and travel manners of our participants.
